Gone Rogue

I read “Going Rogue” this week. Well, speed-read, more like. Let’s call it an intense skim with my sharper microscope.

One of the women from our business office was showing a new graphics contractor around the newsroom this week. The contractor spotted my dogeared, marked-up copy of “Going Rogue” lying next to my dogeared, marked-up copy of the Associated Press Stylebook and asked me how it was. (The memoir, not the reference manual.) I eyed her carefully. Finally, I said:

“It’s just as good as you think it’s going to be.”

Meanwhile, I totally forgot to be excited about the new “Twilight” movie, which opened today. Maybe because that was another book that left me wondering what the big deal was. To be fair, I didn’t read Twilight all the way through. I got bored and quit about halfway through. Hey-o!

Thanks, folks, and don’t forget to tip your servers. I’m here all week.
